EXPERIMENTAL PRINT AND MARK MAKING

Dates announced soon

Sign up for our short Experimental Print and Mark Making for Artist Teachers workshop series held across four Thursday evenings at HOME hosted by Nina Drake and Caroline Power, members of the Manchester Artist Teachers Collective and Artist Teachers at Loreto High School.

Step into this autumn series of experimental, print and mark-making workshops designed for Artist Teachers. These sessions aim to provide a welcoming creative space for artist teachers and visual arts educators to engage with the act of art making using experimental and expressive methods in a supportive and collaborative environment away from the classroom and expectations of teaching. Whether you are a primary teacher hoping to build your creative confidence, or an artist teacher who wants to build a sense of community with others, or you’re simply curious to learn new experimental methods and techniques, this series of workshops is for you.

Over the course of four workshops at HOME, Caroline, Nina and a guest artist will encourage teachers to meet and share their connection to their own creative practice, deliver activities that focus on play and releasing your creativity through mark making, expressive mark making and abstract experimentation, simply for the love of the process of creating. You will explore printmaking processes, mark making. Gelli printing, screen printing, collagraph printing and more, all materials are provided.

We hope you will leave with a sense of community and feeling of support with other teachers, feel reinvigorated in your own creativity, and boost your self-belief as an artist through mark making, experimentation and exploration of materials and ideas
