A series of playful artist-led experiences that explore process led co-production and collaborative making. Facilitated by artist Maisie Pritchard, the first session intends to explore how the act of creation thrives off both generative and destructive forces. In the session, participants will work together using recyclable scrap materials to visualise a sculptural collage of a collective creative consciousness.

The experience aims to amplify the importance of play and creative flow in the overall making process. The afternoon workshop aims to champion the idea that the act of making is the overall purpose of artist endeavour with the outcome secondary to the overall journey. On completion of this first workshop, a fragment of the collective artwork will be selected and removed from the overall creation by the group.

This artistic remnant will then act as a visual catalyst for the next workshop in the chain reaction. This process will be repeated throughout the Autumn term at venues across Manchester culminating in a final workshop in late 2026 or early 2027.
